What is happiness?

          What is happiness is a simple question, but it still not has an exactly answer. People have many opinions in this object. There are 2 main ideas. They are: happiness is being loved by others, or happiness is loved and being loved by others. It is difficult to say which one is right, but in my opinion happiness is loved and being loved by others.

          When we have good conditions for your life, good job with high salary, but no one love us and we don’t care anyone. Is that a happy life? I think it is not, so I think happiness is loved and being loved by others. First, loved and being loved by others help our life more meaningful, and we will have a better life than others, who don’t. when we are being loved by others, we feel very happy. Whenever we have problems, they will help us to solve these, and because we don’t want to make them fell disappointed, we will try our best to come over the difficulty. Example, when I studied for the examination to get a place in university, it was a stressful and tired time, sometime I wanted give up, but I can’t because of my family’s caring. I tried my best, as the result I got it. Moreover, if we loved others, we will be happy when our lovers are happy, and if they are sad, we will be, too. At that time, we shared with them, or found the ways to help them so that we feel we are helpful, the life is more meaningful, and we cat get experience for ourselves to solve the same problems.

        Second, loved and to be loved help us not to be a selfish person. If we just being loved by many people, we will think that they must  do that, and we will become a” the more you have, the more you want” person. If we are, we always fell upset because we don’t know how to satisfy with what we have, and how to love others, and the result is when we go faraway, we get shocks and can’t stand firm whenever difficulty come. Many people have argued that we loved others, we gave a lots, but sometime these people don’t feedback, and at this time, we are hurt. This may be true, but  it does not mean I wrong, because it is just sometime and life is not fair.  We are hurt, we can know the worth of love exactly.

          Existence is important. Existence with happiness is more important, so try to learn how to love and to be loved by other people. Please, believe that if we truly love, we are being love truly.

         Nowadays, many people said that: The more student study, the more rude they are. To tell the truth, I strongly disagree with this opinion. I think people, who studied in high levels, must behave in good ways. But one day, when I was in the bus to my hometown, I saw some boys being the same university to me. In this bus, I saw a situation which is related to those boys and made me can’t keep my opinion strongly that who have high education always behave in good ways.

          In that Saturday, many worker went home so the bus was crowded by people which  made me think that I can’t breath well in that space, moreover I heard some sentences, which were spoken by the boys sitting in front of my seat, are very loud and very cubbish and they said about the award they got at the polite person contest, too. The bus stopped at its station to pick people up. The customer is an old handicap person, who walked heavily onto the bus without any help. Suddenly, the sound from these boys stopped . Glancing at the boys, I saw they took the coats to cover faces and closed there eyes as if they have already slept. I thought that try to wait their action was worthless. I stood up and gave my seat to the elderly people. she said “thank you”, I just smiled and said you are welcome with her while my mind was thinking about the award of these boys. Then I heard that noise again.

          The bus stopped, I went to boys’seat to ask them: “Are you student of UTE ?”, “I am very admire you because of the award, I stood next to you to gave my seat to the elder, and heard that”, and the last question is: “Did you sit comfortably ?”. then I came home and wish them will change their behavior as soon as possible.

A ugly scar _ a big beautiful love.

          Whenever I go out, I always wear pants and T-shirt instead of wearing a little bit scanty clothes. Why is that? You might think that I am a traditional girl, but I am not. I wear those clothes because I want to cover a lot of scars on my body, especial the big scars on my left foot which made my foot uglier. That thinking is no longer in my mind, I realized that appearance is not very important. Moreover, the scars remind me how active I was when I was a child and the big scar is the evidence which shown me the love of my mother. Now, when I look at the big scar, I always remember that day, remember how my mother did when I had a wound which made me miss my mother so much.

          When I was 4 years old, in a sunshine day, I and my mother were working on the farm. We wanted to plant trees. I was eager help her made holes without the permission. My hands were still working although my eyes weren’t because my eyes stared at butterfly.  It had many colors on its wings which had some white, red and yellow circles. It roosted on my mother’s hat. “Ouch !”, I shouted. Looking at my instep, a wound streaming a red liquid, blood! Suddenly the fear made me screamed, and I can’t move. Immediately, my mother through the knife which used to cut trees into smaller size, she rushed to me and grasped me. She looked at my wound, didn’t say any words, but her eyes streaming with tears, her lips shaken, she quickly bandaged my wound. After I stop crying, and my wound stop blooding, she oared boat across the river to buy medicine for me although she didn’t have money in her pockets. When I went to sleep, she was still there to look after me. In the midnight, my wound was bad, my head was hotter and I whimpered with an aching voice, she used the towel to decrease my high heat and hug me to prevent me from the pain. Now, when she saw my scar, she seems unhappy because she in self-reproach. When I look my scar, I still fell sorry with my false, I wonder what would happened with my mother if she felt into the river because she didn’t know how to swim. When I write this story, my roommate sick, I must look after her, and I can’t go to sleep because I am very worry for her. Now, I can understand what my mother thought and felt  at that time.

          People considered many building, place, etc as the wonder of the world. But in my opinion, the love of mother is the best wonder in the world. I’ll keep it for myself and try to be a good mother like my idol. And one day, I’ll tell with my mother that: “The scar is a good my memory which let me know how to much you love me, so you don’t need to feel self-reproach any more, please !”.

What invention do you think the most important? Why?(

            The present day, our life is more comfortable and more convenient than the past. For example, the transportation is very varying and plentiful; food is fresh, sanitary and convenient especially food for busy people; public health is better and better, many diseases have been destroyed perfectly; information technology develops fast, we can send and get news from every where in the earth, and so on. How can people get this life? Thank to the progress of science, and many superexcellent inventions such as: steam engine, plane, electricity, computer, internet, etc. One of the most important inventions is electricity. This is the breakthrough of human being that made our world turn on a new history page.

            Electricity is acknowledged as the most important invention in modern life. First, it heightens our standard of living. Thanks to many kind of machines with work by electricity, children and student can have better condition for their studies such as: They can whole night with the light of bulb, get information from the internet, and improve English skills with video, radio. And many kinds of entertainment very develop which help people relax after a hard working day. Second, it helps us save a lot of property time. just press the power on the promote control of machines, these machines will do anything for you, so you have more free time. With this spare time, we can do charity work, study more into higher level, travel, r do something we love, which helped us feel more happy in life.

      Moreover, electricity is a determining factor of economic development. As we know, many kinds of service are very developed such as: e-business or e-commerce, shopping online which can earn a lot of money for not only people doing it but also the bank of government. People work with computers through the internet to sell product and get money, but electricity is cut off, computer can’t work, people can’t get money. In industry, companies have a large number of employees, who work with machines to produce goods, but suddenly power is cut, everything stops immediately. Many things are waste such as: money, time. In addition, the government sells electricity to get money for our country budget.

Self-confidence

           Many people think that wealthy is the most important thing in life. Do you agree with that idea? If a man has a lot of money, but he is stupid, and he is lordly, do we respect him? So, what do you think the most important thing which made people respect and admit you? In my opinion, self-confidence and knowledge are the most important. Because if you are enough self-confidence, you will have more than 50 percent to be succeed. If you are not, you will have nothing. My brother’s story will prove it.

            Lack of self-confidence will make people lose their world. My younger brother is 14 years old. When he was younger, he was a very gawky. He was a ill health boy, he got illness whole years, so my parents didn’t allowed to him to do anything, especially out side activities. He just stayed at home, played games with me or played alone. For a long time, he gets used to with that way. When he went to school, he didn’t dare to do anything, he didn’t dare to talk with his friends, didn’t ask teachers to explain his lesson when he can’t get in, so he became a silent people in his class, usually got bad marks in his examination, got few friends, his teachers ignored him. He was so sad, he just like staying at home and watched cartoon, his favorite, and he can imitate the voice of characters in cartoon very well, a boring activity.

       One day, his teachers organized a talent contest, he wanted to enjoy, but he was not enough self-confidence to enjoy it. My family encouraged him so much, I talked to him about the contest whole day, and finally he enrolled this contest. I helped him to choose the best story to tell in his show. He practiced very hard. And the contest’s day came. Although I helped him to prepare anything well, he still worried and shaken a lot. When his name was called, he can’t move, he can’t make any sound. I did hug him to encourage and help him get confidence back. After a deep breathe, he went to tribune and told his story which was told very vivid and likely while I shaken. How was surprise we got.”The winner is number 3, Nguyen Duy Anh” my brother, yes. He was the winner. He smiled with tear on his cheeks. After the contest, he do talk more, he dares to do more activities, gets more friends and happier. His teachers start to pay attention to him and his study get better. Now whenever I am not believe in myself, he always say “The more confidence you are, the more succeed you get” with me.

            Healthy, wealthy, intelligent are very important in our life, but if you are not confident, you can’t use these qualities well. So self-confidence is the most important. Let’s believe that everyone can do, you can do, too,” Work hard, have fun, make history”

My first gift in high school

          When I was in the10 grade, I was very timid because I was a immigrated student. But day by day, I get used to my classmates, teachers and made close friend with the twins, a boy and a girl. We shared anything together, but one day, I was unhappy because I thought that they didn’t remember my birthday, they didn’t say anything about it during 4 periods in class in that day. And I went home, this feeling is not continuous longer because I was received my birthday gift by the twins in the midnight. It was a tortoise that is the most beautiful and the most meaningful gift in my life from the twins.

            My first gift was a lovely seashell tortoise. While I was studying my lessons, my friends must be tiptoed into my house’s yard to keep secret and didn’t wake my dog up. They put the gift onto the yard and went back quietly then they called me opened the door to picked the gift up. I did jump and smiled a lot because my friends remembered my birthday, and I was very excited because of my lovely gift. My gift was rolled by a big pink paper and on the top of the box’s face, they made a green bowtie. I lightly opened the box to know what is in side. My gift was made of big seashell and many small lovely seashells. On the shell of my tortoise, there were 2 coconut trees were together under the sunshine. The trees were planted in a small island. And the island was covered by blue sea. The eyes of my tortoise were perfectly round and black and they can moved around, looked so fun. It had 4 toes which were made by small different color shells, like grey mixed brown. I loved it so much, so I put it onto my bookshelf

         It is not only a beautiful gift but also a meaningful gift. Because of 2 coconut trees on the tortoise shell remind me about the twins. My friends were tall and thin like the trees. Moreover, the strong trees stand for Vietnamese especially people who lived in Ben Tre. The trees stand firmed although many difficulties come from nature and come from people. The coconut’s leaves reach into the sky like human being always tries their best to get a better life. The sunshine above the top of the trees had yellow slightly light as the hope always comes with people who always believe in the future. The sea as a great nature which is very deeper and larger than human’s understanding, so it made us tries a lot to know and to control the world.

            My first gift is the best gift of mine. It makes me remember my high school friends and our lovely memories. It is not only a gift but also a friend which encourage me to try my best to overcome difficulties. I will keep it for a long time to show my children in the future as a lesson of truly friendship.
